Northern-Frontiers Thrift is proud to have served the Babbitt Community and Surrounding communities for over 3 years now. We offer a unique shopping experience for people of all ages.
We have a little bit of something for everyone. And if you don't see it on the shelf, it doesn't hurt to ask, because we might have just what you're looking for.
Furniture, Tools, Clothing, Home Goods, Cookware, Crafts, and so so much more! It'd be a shame if you didn't stop to check out what we have in store.

You will find approximately 12 LOCAL vendors in the store who are selling their items on consignment, whether they are in good used condition or if they are handmade crafts!
We recently switched Credit Card Processors and all credit card transactions are subject to a 3.5% Fee. These last few years have been tough on everyone, but especially on small businesses.
Northern-Frontiers Rental
Northern-Frontiers Rental has some great outdoor games and sporting equipment available for rent.
We have cornhole boards, bocce ball, Mother Pucker, Yardzee, and more! Maybe you have a special party or event coming up or maybe you just want a day with family and friend to cookout in the backyard. Either way, we have what you are looking for. Each rental is just $2.00 per day, plus a refundable security deposit ranging from $25-$40.
We keep a football or volleyball on hand in case anyone is in need of one. They are available for just $1.00 per day.
We also have nice scoreboards with tables & cupholders that you can rent for an additional $2.00 per day if desired.
*ALL rentals are subject to a REFUNDABLE security deposit pending return condition (Damaged, broken, or missing pieces will result in the loss of deposit)

We could use your Support
These past 3 years in business have been some of the toughest, and yet best years of my life. Owning your own business does give you a certain level of freedom, but it also is one of the hardest things anyone will do.
There are some details about my business that not many are previewed to. When I first opened this business in December 2019, I had no idea what was coming in just 3 short months. In March of 2020, we were all in the midst of a global pandemic that changed our world forever. 3 months after opening my business, I was forced to close my doors for 3 months. We spend the next 2 years dealing with the pandemic. Then, as soon as the president lifted the "Emergency/Pandemic* National guidelines, we were faced with an inflation crisis like we have never seen.
I am not able to afford employees and I find myself very overwhelmed by having to manage so much by myself. I have 2 online stores (I am responsible for building all the items, shipping items, etc. on both eBay and Etsy.) I have responsible for sorting inventory, stocking the shelves, pricing items, editing my website, and a whole host of other responsibilities. It's a lot for one person. So yes, I have shortened my business hours in store, mostly for my own mental health reasons. But I am available by phone to schedule appointments in the evenings.
I know this time is tough for all of us, but if you have anything that you can help us with, it would be greatly appreciated. To be frank, since opening my business over 3 years ago, I have not seen a day outside of a national or global crisis. Your help would be greatly appreciated and would help keep this small business afloat! Our communities desperately need a thrift store and I would like to continue serving our communities if I am able.
